AbdulAziz AlMutairi is a research student working towards a PhD in the EPSRC Centre for Doctoral Training in Graphene Technology.
His PHD project title is: Investigation into The Use of 2D/2D/3D Heterostructures For Low Power Electronics. This research focus is about investigating the electrical properties of mixed dimensional heterostructures. He mainly explores heterostructures between 2D materials (such as graphene, TMDs, hBN, ... etc) and conventional semiconductors (like Si, Ge and GaAs); and their uses in the design of novel nanoelectronics devices.
His main supervisor is Prof Stephan Hofmann and his second supervisor is Dr Antonio Lombardo.
AbdulAziz is part of the Engineering department and is currently based in the Cambridge Graphene Centre, in the Electrical Engineering Division. He is a member of Wolfson College.
