Chemistry

Our Wet Chemistry lab is for the production of Graphene inks, and development of new methods of producing graphene and other 2D materials.

 

For access to the lab, or for any general training, please contact the lab leader Dr Stephen Hodge, or their deputy Lucia Lombardi.  For training on any of the equipment, please contact the Principal User or their deputy for the listed equipment.

While there is a range of devices in the Wet Chemestry Laboratory, several of them require booking before use. The booking system can be found here.

M110-P Microfluidizer

M110P-30K high shear bench-top fluid processor without compressed air or hydraulic cooling water, running on a standard 120-volt, 20-amp, single-phase power outlet. The MIcrofluidizer produces stable nanodispersions and nanoemulsions, cell disruption (e. coli, yeast), and micro/nanoencapsulation in polymers, liposomes and oils.
